Double Double

I know that most of you probably don't like Ohio State. That's fine. But how can you not respect a guy who begins his first press conference of the week with this?

Reporter (paraphrasing): Troy, do you think the fact that you guys are familiar with playing Bowl games in Arizona gives you any advantage?

Troy Smith: "The first thing that I am most familiar with is In-and-Out Burger, which is around the corner from our hotel. Probably the height of my day every day getting a chance to go to In-and-Out burger. I love those cheeseburgers."

Smith then goes on, later in the interview, to explain to anyone who doesn't know exactly why the burgers are so good. "For the folks back in Ohio, they need to understand first and foremost, it is a fresh burger," he said. "The lettuce and tomatoes are extremely fresh. And they toast the buns. That's huge. That's key. They toast the buns. They use a special kind of sauce, too. It is an extremely -- the sandwich is incredible after a long night."

Tasty.

Hey Sam...

I 100% agree with Troy Smith... In and Out is great!!! I'll always remember a few years ago I was out in LA and my son flew out to meet me there before we headed out of the country.. First place he wanted to go was In and Out which was right up the road from LAX.. When I have a car in LA, I go everytime!!! Steak and Shake is close but In and Out is 100% focused on what it does best...

Let's hope he lights it up and we can bring him to Jacksonville... we need a QB...

The best In-n-Out story I have didn't even happen to me. It was during the 2005 MLB playoffs and after the Yankees won Game 4 against the Angels in New York everyone had to fly out to California very early the next morning for Game 5 which was that afternoon.

A few of the guys at my paper, the Daily News, had to fly into LAX instead of Orange County and so they hit the In-N-Out on Sepulveda before driving the hour down to Anaheim; after getting about two hours sleep and with a long day ahead, you'd figure they'd take it light, right?

Nope. My buddy Anthony McCarron crushed two double-doubles at about 11:30 in the morning and then went right to work. No fat-induced coma, nothing - it was very, very impressive.
